2012 Fleet Feet Racing: James Falcon

Name: James Falcon
Date of Birth: June 13, 1971
City: Huntsville, Alabama

Brief Biography

I am married to Michelle we have two kids, Christian and Anna. I work as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments. Being an advisor and a runner allow me to do what I enjoy, which is help people reach their goals. I have been running since the early 80's. I started doing triathlons in 2002 and that is about the same time I started doing longer races.

Short Term Goals

First thing is to heal from the injury I got toward the end of 2011. Then start running more consistent mileage.  Break 18min in 5k.  Set new PR at Mt Mist 50k

Long Term Goals

Attempt Barkley Marathons in 2013 or 2014.  I am considering an attempt at a 200+mile trail run in 2014 or 2015.  I may get the urge to try to set a marathon PR since I have never really raced the marathon

A fun fact others might not know

I once at 15 soft tacos at Taco Bell in 30 minutes. Be careful of what races the race team will talk you into!

How have you been an ambassador to the sport of running?

I try to give back to the running community in many ways. In the triathlon community I have been the president of the local tri-club, directed the Rocketman Tri, sponsored the Huntsville Sprint and also taught beginners clinics for the race. For HTC and Fleet Feet Sports I have helped at many races. I also run/coach with the training groups and several individuals.
